Alessandra Lanzara

Alessandra Lanzara is the Endowed Chair of Physics at UC Berkeley and founding director of the Center for Sustainable Materials and Innovation. She leads Berkeley Discovery and serves as Associate Director for Industry Engagement for the Baker Institute for Digital Materials for the Planet. A leading scholar in quantum materials and technologies, she directs an ultrafast quantum science and AI-in-the-loop laboratory. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, APS, and the European Academy of Sciences and pioneered advanced quantum detection technologies adopted by industry.
