Giovanni Valente

Professore Ordinario, POLITECNICO DI MILANO

Giovanni Valente is a full professor in Logic and Philosophy of Science in the Department of Mathematics at the Politecnico di Milano, where he moved after working at the University of Pittsburgh. His main research focuses on the philosophy and foundations of physics. He is a member of the inter-departmental unit of study META devoted to develop the philosophy and sociology of science and technology at the Politecnico di Milano, as well as one of the founders of the Laboratory FoQuS on the foundations of quantum systems.  He is also a coordinator of the Irvine-London-Munich-PoliMi-Salzburg Network in philosophy and foundations of physics.
