Giuseppe Mussardo

Full Professor of Theoretical Physics, SISSA TRIESTE

Giuseppe Mussardo is Professor of Theoretical Physics at SISSA (Trieste), National Coordinator of the INFN initiative on Statistical Field Theory, Director of JSTAT. His research spans integrable quantum field theories, statistical mechanics, conformal field theory, non-equilibrium quantum systems, quantum applications to number theory. He is the author of the reference textbook Statistical Field Theory (Oxford University Press) and several acclaimed books on the history of science and quantum field theory. Kramers Chain in 2017, Outreach SIF Prize 2013, Cosmos Prize 2024. Academician of Accademia delle Arti e del Disegno, Scientific Board Member of Galileo Galilei Institute.
