Marco Cometto is an Energy Economist at the IAEA, where his work focuses on the economics and financing of nuclear power and its integration with renewables in low carbon energy systems. He authored several reports on the system costs of nuclear and renewable energy, on financing and contractual structure of nuclear new built, on the electricity generation costs as well as on the externalities associated with electricity production.Marco previously held positions at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, an Italian bank, EDF, and the French Atomic Energy Commission. He holds a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, a PhD in Physics from EPFL, and is a CFA charterholder.
