Pierluigi Contucci obtained a PhD in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Physics at SISSA in Trieste, following his degree in Physics from Sapienza University of Rome. He has been a Visiting Professor in Tokyo, Paris and New York. His research interests range from statistical mechanics to machine learning. He is the author of books published by Cambridge University Press and Zanichelli, and publishes in leading international journals. He is a member of the Bologna Academy of Sciences and winner of the Schloessman Prize awarded by the Max Planck Society.
