Pierluigi Totaro

President, Nuclear and Reason Committee, Trieste

A nuclear physicist, he earned his Ph.D. in high-energy physics while participating in the CDF experiment at Fermilab in Chicago as part of the search for the Higgs boson. He has collaborated with the Universities of Trieste and Padua. He currently teaches at the “Alessandro Volta” Technical Institute in Trieste. He is co-founder and president of the Comitato Nucleare e Ragione, an association through which, since 2011, he has promoted outreach initiatives and events dedicated to energy issues and the role of nuclear technologies.
