A full-time researcher, he was for many years the scientific director of the CNR-INM's Outdoor Experimental Facility on the shore of Lake Nemi where he developed innovative experimental methodologies to conduct maneuverability tests of surface vessels using free running self-propelled unmanned large-sized models.Actually is PI of the I-MASTER project (https://navisp.esa.int/project/details/270/show) which will allow to realize on the shore of the lake of Nemi a National MASS Test Area with technologies and infrastructures (ICT, IoT, TLC) needed to test autonomous maritime surface vehicles.
