Simon Bennett

Energy Innovation Lead, International Energy Agency, Paris

Simon Bennett leads work on new technology analysis in the International Energy Agency’s Energy Technology Policy Division, covering innovation tracking, policy and outlooks. Simon is lead author of the IEA’s annual report on The State of Energy Innovation. Before joining the IEA in 2012, he worked at the European Commission’s DG Energy and holds MSc degrees in chemistry and environmental technology. His doctorate in energy policy is from Imperial College.
