Stefano Monti

President, AIN (ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA NUCLEARE)

Stefano Monti is President of the Italian Nuclear Association and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Italian Joint Research Partnership on nuclear. He is also the immediate past President of the European Nuclear Society. From May 2011 to November 2022, he was Head of the Nuclear Power Technology Development Section in the Department of Nuclear Energy of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Before joining the IAEA, Stefano Monti was Head of the Division Reactor and Fuel Cycle Safety and Security Methods, and Scientific Coordinator of the Italian R&D programme on nuclear fission.
