Alessandro Bruno

Founder and CTO, QuantWare, Netherlands

Dr Alessandro Bruno is the founder and CTO of QuantWare, a market leader in superconducting QPUs and TWPA. With over 10 years’ experience at the DiCarlo lab at QuTech, he has contributed to the production of hundreds of QPUs. His scientific contributions include: ultra-high-Q superconducting resonators, the first transmon nanowires, pioneering surface code experiments, and the scalable Vertical Interconnect (VIO) technology, which he invented, for next-generation superconducting quantum architectures. VIO is now available as Open Quantum Architecture, enabling the advent of utility-scale systems.
