Emanuela Colombo

Full Professor, UNESCO Chair, Energy for Sustainable Development, Department of Energy (PoliMI)

Emanuela Colombo has achieved both a PhD in Energy Engineering and a Nuclear Engineering MSc at Politecnico di Milano where she is currently Full Professor at the Department of Energy. Since 2025, She served as Rector’s Delegate to Cooperation and Development now appointed as Rector’s Delegate to Science Diplomacy and Cooperation and Development. Since 2012 she has held the UNESCO CHAIR in Energy for Sustainable Development. She has been nominated in the EU Science Diplomacy working group and represents Italy in the AU-EU Climate Change and Sustainable Energy (CCSE) partnership.
