Giovanna Iannantuoni

President of the Bicocca Foundation, University of Milano – Bicocca

Giovanna Iannantuoni is a professor of Political Economy and, since October 2019, has been the Rector of the University of Milan-Bicocca.

After graduating in Economic and Social Sciences (DES) from Bocconi University, she obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (2001).

She spent several years abroad at some of the most prestigious economics departments, including the University of Rochester, Carlos III University of Madrid and the University of Cambridge.

She was Coordinator of the PhD Programme in Economics until 2015 and President of the Doctoral School at the University of Milan-Bicocca from 2015 to 2019.

Since 2019, she has been a member of the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) and the European University Association (EUA).

He is Chair of the Consortium for Research into Advanced Materials (CORIMAV) at the University of Milan-Bicocca and Pirelli, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Silvio Tronchetti Provera Foundation.

He is a member of the Scientific Committee of Nuova Atlantide, the quarterly journal of the Foundation for Subsidiarity.

Since May 2021, he has been a Director of Intesa San Paolo Private Banking S.p.A.

Since September 2021, he has been a Director of the CINECA Inter-University Consortium.

Her research interests focus on game theory, political economy and microeconomics. In particular, she studies the properties of solution concepts in game theory models and their applications to various electoral systems.

Giovanna Iannantuoni is the author of more than 25 academic papers and has been a guest speaker at numerous Italian, European and international conferences.

During her professional career, she has secured funding for several international and national projects (Ramon y Cajal Fellowship, Trinity Hall Fellowship, PRIN, Cariplo) and has published in leading international economics journals.
