Giuseppe Italiano

Deputy Rector for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills, LUISS Guido Carli, and Founding Director of the Research Center AI4Society, LUISS Guido Carli

Giuseppe F. Italiano is Deputy Rector of AI and Founding Director of the Research Center on AI4Society at Luiss in Rome. After a PhD in Computer Science at Columbia University, he worked at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, USA. He has been Visiting Professor in several international universities, including Columbia University, Paris-Sud, Max–Planck–Institut, and Hong Kong UST. In 2016 he was nominated Fellow of the EATCS. He works on algorithms, published about 300 scientific articles, consulted with big international companies and co-founded several tech startups.
