Jürg Fröhlich

Professor Emeritus, ETH, Zurich

He received a classical and scientific education, continuing his studies in physics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), where he earned his doctorate with honors in 1972. He has conducted research and taught at prestigious international institutions, including the University of Geneva, Harvard, and Princeton. He is a professor at ETH Zurich, where he contributed to the development of mathematical physics and the founding of the Center for Theoretical Studies. He has been awarded major international honors (including the Max Planck Medal and the Poincaré Prize) and is a member of leading European scientific academies.
