Marco De Spirito

Full Professor of Medical Physics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome

Professor Marco De Spirito is a Full Professor of Medical Physics, Director of the Postgraduate School of Medical Physics, and heads the Microscopy Facility at the A. Gemelli University Polyclinic Foundation – IRCCS. As a medical physicist and translational scientist, he works at the interface between quantitative imaging, computational biophysics and oncology. His research integrates label-free spectroscopy, extracellular vesicle biomarkers, quantitative magnetic resonance imaging, radiomics/dosomics and 3D tumour models to develop AI-based tools for diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring and the personalisation of cancer treatments.
