Marco Lamperti

Associate Professor, University of Insubria, Como

Marco Lamperti is a tenure-track assistant professor at the University of Insubria (Como, Italy) - Como Lake Institute of Photonics (CLIP). His work focuses on using light and its quantum properties to probe systems at the interface of physics, chemistry, and biology, and on building laser systems to that end. He is currently exploring how quantum correlations can push optical measurements below the classical noise limit, paving the way to a gentler spectroscopy of fragile, light-sensitive samples. Away from the lab, he is a trumpet player with a soft spot for European jazz.
