Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. E. Marion Schneider is a German immunologist and neuroscientist whose career spans cutting-edge research in neuroimmunology, experimental anesthesiology, and immune dysregulation. Since 2024, she has served as a senior researcher in the work group of Hayrettin Tumani at the Clinic for Neurology, Ulm University Hospital, focusing on autoimmune mechanisms and innate immune hyperactivation in neurodegenerative diseases.
From 1998 to 2023, Dr. Schneider held a C3-Professorship and led the Division of Experimental Anaesthesiology at the University Hospital Ulm. She completed her habilitation in immunology at the University of Tübingen and earned her doctorate in biology with summa cum laude from the University of Bonn, where she also studied medicine and was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.
