Mauro De Santis works at the Bank of Italy (DG Markets and Payment Systems), contributing to international initiatives on payment systems, digital innovation, and emerging technologies, with expertise in critical financial infrastructures. He works on frontier AI models, addressing both risks and opportunities, supporting G7-level policy work and providing strategic input to senior decision-making, including engagement with the Bank’s Board. He is Co-lead of the G7 Cyber Expert Group Quantum Resilience Task Force and a national expert in an OECD–European Commission project on AI in financial markets. Previously, he spent over 20 years at Accenture leading digital transformation projects.
