Mauro Iacono is Associate Professor of Information Processing Systems at Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy. He holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering and master degrees in Computer Engineering, Physics, Political Science, and International Relations, and a MBA. A former consultant for MIT-Formez (Italian Piano Nazionale di eGovernment), his interests include information technology in public administration as a means of evolving processes, services, and management models. His research also focuses on privacy management in information systems design and on the interaction between AI and public law. Author of more than 150 international scientific publications, he is currently a visiting professor at Politechnika Krakowska, and past president and editor-in-chief of the European Council for Modeling and Simulation.
