Pierluigi Contucci earned a PhD in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from SISSA in Trieste, following his bachelor’s degree in Physics from Sapienza University of Rome. He has served as a visiting professor in Tokyo, Paris, and New York. His research interests range from statistical mechanics to machine learning. He is the author of books published by Cambridge University Press and Zanichelli, and his work appears in leading international journals. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Bologna and a recipient of the Schloessman Prize from the Max Planck Society.
