Ugo Chirico is the CEO and Founder of Quantum2pi, an Italian startup dedicated to quantum-resistant cryptography. He holds a degree in Cybernetic Physics from the University of Naples Federico II and is a PhD candidate in Quantum Technologies. He has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and digital identity, having contributed to the development of Italy’s Electronic Identity Card and qualified digital signatures. He is leading the migration to Kyber and Dilithium and is among the European pioneers of hybrid PQC+QKD architectures, which combine post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution for quantum-safe critical infrastructure.
